Shang Jixuan, correspondent of Civil Aviation Daily and Civil Aviation Network of China, Qian Jiexuan: Since June, Shanghai has entered the flood season. Hongqiao and Pudong Airports under Shanghai Airport Group are actively implementing flood control and typhoon control measures to ensure the operation of airports in flood season.
At present, the flood control and Taiwan control work in Shanghai has entered the stage of normal and long-term management. Before the flood season, Shanghai completed the renovation and maintenance of 34 important equipments, including sewage cleaners. Two cleanings dredged 64 460 meters of pipelines and 10 192 water intakes, completed the maintenance of 4,100 cubic meters of drainage ditch wall in the flight area, and completed the flood control materials such as emergency vehicles, water-blocking bags, pumps, springboards, spades, flashlights, diesel generators and so on. Check, supplement and update. Pudong Airport dredges 15.6 million cubic meters of silt in the pumping sluice area of the sea. It also develops an intelligent flood control command platform. Through installing rainfall and water detection equipment in the key parts of paddock River and rainwater pipeline, the real-time monitoring and information management of key parts and nodes of flood control can be realized, and the response speed can be effectively improved. Hongqiao Airport has completed the dredging and maintenance of 33 kilometres of rainwater and sewage pipelines. Through special coordination between Shanghai Flood Control Office and the flood control and river management departments in Changning and Minhang districts of Shanghai, Hongqiao Airport has controlled the water level of the river outside the airport below the 3.8-meter elevation line to ensure that the outward drainage of the flight area is not hindered. Two flood control departments have also organized drills for flood control plans.
In view of the severe convective weather and typhoon in flood season which may lead to large-scale flight delays, the two major airports in Shanghai will implement the airport emergency service guarantee according to the emergency plan for large-scale flight delays in Shanghai area of civil aviation. Once such a situation occurs, the airport service guarantee units will increase the site facilities and personnel according to the situation, ensure the normal operation of lighting, air conditioning, sanitation, water supply and other service facilities in the terminal building, extend the business hours of airport catering and convenience stores, and ensure the supply of sufficient goods; temporary rest will also be opened in the terminal building. If necessary, the region will actively contact the Shanghai Traffic Administration to assist airlines in evacuation and resettlement of passengers; the airport will also issue timely and rolling information on abnormal flight changes, passenger reminders and service security measures through social media and enterprise self-Media to provide reference for passengers'travel.
The project of Pudong Airport Satellite Office, which is entering the final stage, involves the transfer of the project across flood season. Shanghai Airport Group has formulated the flood prevention plan and production recovery measures for the MRT system and underground passage, and strengthened daily observation and data accumulation so as to provide basis for future flood control work of the Satellite Office and ensure the safety of the project.
